If you are having problems with xfire when you are chatting in game and the text is in xfire and game at the same time you need to update xfire.

Open a chat window by clicking on one of your friends and type /forceupdate

They will not see the info so they wont even know you typed it.

I am Fairly sure you can even type it to yourself in a chat and it will work.
